One of the biggest bodies of water on the east coast besides the Atlantic is Moosehead Lake. Ben's employer has a camp on Moosehead that we took my father in-law and his brother up to for a long weekend. Here are me and my boys getting ready to make the trek into camp. We fished 17 traps for 2 days straight and only caught 5 fish, 4 cusk and a landlocked salmon. Oh well at least we had fun even without fish action. I was lucky enough to pull the biggest fish out of the lake. Check out the slimey eel like cusk, yuck they are almost a snake and ewwwww that is gross.
Woof loved the trip as he got to sleep inside and some of our guests have been known to feed him from the table. One afternoon we were getting ready to have lunch and Woof was doing some serious begging, I opened the door, pointed outside and told him to go dig in the snow, I may never live that one down. Oh Woof life is rough huh, especially when your mom's mean and it is so windy out you look like the flying nun.
Having guests is a great excuse to get out and do stuff. Pretty hard to believe that this view is just 2 hours north of our home. Awesome huh? This past weekend the University of Minnesota Morris touring choir passed through Bangor. We were lucky enough to be a host family for 4 boys from our home state. The boys were as nerdy as you can imagine choir boys would be. They agreed the only reason they were in choir was to meet girls and I was thinking uhm, yes you are all going to need all the help you can get, especially you shirt and tie guy with the horrible gas problem.
